An E.R.II General Service Medal, clasp MALAYA, awarded to 23213802 Pte E. Merrin, 1st Battalion the Royal Lincolnshire Regiment.
The 1st Battalion of the Lincolshire Regiment sailed from Liverpool docks aboard the Empire Clyde, on the 19th of July, 1955.
They arrived at Nee Son, Singapore, during August 1955, where they were to fight the communist insergents for nearly three years. The 1st Battalion sailed from Singapore to Aden, aboard the Empire Fowey on the 25th of July 1958, arriving in Aden during August 1958.
The medal is mounted for display, sold with some copied research, and is as follows -
