A WW2 North Africa 8th Army & Italy Campaigns M.I.D. & Efficiency Medal Group to 4270936 Trp J.E. Hedley, 50th Royal Tank Regiment.
J E Hedley was from the Gosforth area of Newcastle, and was born on the 13th October 1918.
During WW2 he served as a Trooper, later Corporal, with the 50th Royal Tank Regiment. The 50th Regiment experienced extensive fighting during the North Africa campaigns (Tobruk & El Alamein), and then the Sicily landings and advance to the Gothic Line.
The medals are mounted as originally worn, sold with some copied research (medal card confirms all of the medal, clasp and MID entitlement), and are as folows -
