A WW1 1914/15 Star Medal Trio (wounded in the eye & chest), Imperial Service Medal Group awarded to 12043 Pte C. Murcott, 1st Battalion, the Coldstream Guards.

Charles Murcott was born during 1892 at Mayfair, London, and was employed as a packer prior to joining the ranks of the Coldstream Guards.

He disembarked France on the 9th of February, 1915, with the 1st Battalion, and is listed as “Wounded” on the 7th of February 1916, suffering gunshot wounds to the right eye and chest.

Post War Charles was awarded the Imperial Service Medal, most likely whilst working for the Postal Service.
