A WW1 Meritorious Service Medal, Long Service & Good Conduct Medal, and British War Medal trio group awarded to 1852174/17095 W.O.II A. Cole, Royal Engineers.
William Cole was born during 1885, and baptised on the 26th June 1885, at Farnham, Surrey, and he enlisted on the 7th October 1910, joing the ranks of the Royal Engineers, and was to serve on the Western Front during WW1.
He was awarded his Meritorious Service Medal ‘in recognition of valuable services rendered with the Armies in France and Flanders’, whilst serving with the 45th Company, Royal Engineers - The London Gazette, 12th December 1919, refers.
The medals are mounted for wear, sold with copied research (confirming this is his FULL and correct medal entitlement), a Royal Engineers cap badge and W.O.II rank insignia, and are as follows -
