A WW1 3rd Battle of Ypres (Passchendaele) Military Medal (Copy M.M) & Pair Medal Group to 23981 Pte. Percy Brierley, 2nd Battalion the Grenadier Guards.
Percy Brierley was born during 1896, at Glossop, Derbyshire.
During WW1, he joined the ranks of the Grenadier Guards, serving initially with the 4th Battalion, and then transferred to the 2nd Battalion, serving on the Western Front from the 13.8.1916 to 30.12.1916.
He was awarded the Military Medal during the 3rd Battle of Ypres (Passchendaele), which was listed in the London Gazette on the 26th September 1917.
The 2nd Battalion lost 1429 soldiers and officer’s during WW1
