A WW1 Machine Gun Corps & 18th Battalion Tank Corps Medal Pair & G.V Special Constabulary Medal Trio to 302115 Pte. H.R. Tingley, 18th Battalion, the Tank Corps.

Harold Robert Tingley was born during 1894 at Luton, Chatham, Kent, and joined the ranks of the Machine Gun Corps on the 12th of October, 1914 (or the 31st of May 1915 - there are two different dates in his service records)

Private Tingley served with the Machine Gun Corps towards the latter part of WW1, disembarking Alexandria on the 26th of June, 1917, as part of the Egyptian Epeditionary Force, returning home to England on the 18th of July, 1918. Tingley then transfered to the Tanks Corps and served on the Western Front with the 18th Battalion, the Tank Corps, between the 28th of October 1918 and the 7th of February 1919.

Post War, Harry Tingley became a Special Constable and served with the Chatham Constabulary (1939 Census referrs).

The medals are mounted for wear, sold with copied research (including copy service records) confirming the above, and they are as follows -
