An 1897 Jubilee & 1902 Coronation Metropolitan Police Medal Pair awarded to P.C. Caleb Dolling, ‘V’ Division.
Caleb Dolling was born on the 23rd December, 1863, in Devon, and joined Greater Scotland Yard on the 23rd June, 1884.
Caleb served with ‘Z’ Division for just over a year and a half, and then just shy 24 years with ‘V’ Division, retiring from the force as an Acting Sergeant on the 28th June, 1909.
Caleb returned to his native Devonshire (Claverham) where he continued to work as a boot repairer, until his death, aged 70.
The medals are mounted for display, sold with some copied research (including a copy obituary), and are as follows -
