A WW1 1914/15 Star Medal Trio awarded to 1301 Cpl T. G. Pyne, 569th (Devon) Royal Engineers, who was 'mentioned' for his services in Egypt.

Tom Gidley Pyne was a native of Torquey and a member of the Devon Fortress Royal Engineers attesting with them on 22 September 1914. Entering the war in Egypt on 9 November 1915 he appears to have served there for the duration of the conflict, embarking at Port Said upon the conclusion of the conflict in March 1919. Pyne was demobilised on 27 April 1919.

M.I.D. London Gazette 21 January 1919, the original group citation states:

'...for their services during the period from 16th March, 1918, to 18th September, 1918.'

The medals are mounted for display, on original ribbons, sold with copied research (including full service records), and are as follows –

1914-15 Star,1301. 2-CPL. T. G. PYNE. R.E.; British War and Victory Medals, 1301. CPL. T. G. PYNE. R.E., with M.I.D. oak leaves.
