A 2nd Type Civil Member of the Order of the British Empire Medal, M.B.E., & Honorary Alderman Medal to Frank Edward Theaker.
Frank Edward Theaker was born on the 29th of July 1907 at Birkenhead, Cheshire.
He was educated at the Birkenhead Institute and was the principal of a Liverpool firm of cargo consulting surveyors, as well as a member of the Liverpool Chamber of Commerce, Woodhey Conservative Association and the Acresfield Ratepayers’ Association.
Frank also became a local mayor and councilor, for which he was rewarded with being made a Member of the Order of the Britsh Empire, Civil Division - London Gazette 15th June 1984 refers.
The medals are in their presentation boxes, sold with some copied research, and are as follows -
Order of the British Empire, 2nd Type, Civil Division, Members’ Breast Badge, on mounting pin, unnamed as issued (plus a miniature M.B.E. on a mounting pin); A metal and enamel ‘HONARARY ALDERMAN’ medal/badge, the reverse engraved, WIRRAL BOROUGH COUNCIL Frank Theaker 1997, with a PAST MAYOR clasp.
