A WW2 'Western Europe' Campaign, Post War Malaya Campaign, & L.S.&.G.C. Medal Group awarded to 972298 Sgt A. Lomas, Royal Artillery.

Arthur Lomas attested during 1939, joining the ranks of the Royal Artillery, where he served in North West Europe during the latter part of WW2.

He then served with the Royal Artillery during the Malayan Emergency (1948-1960), where the Royal Artillery provided critical fire support, notably utilising 25-pounder field guns to support infantry operations against communist guerrillas. They also helped to protect civilain sites and other economic assets such as rubber plantations and tin mines.

Sgt Lomas was awarded his L.S.&.G.C. Medal on the 21st October 1958 - Army Order 55/62.

The medals are mounted for display, sold with some copied research, and are as follows -
