A WW1 Royal Naval Reserve Medal Trio & L.S.&.G.C. Medal Group awarded to D.1352 S.A. Yalland.
Sidney Alfred Yalland was born at Buckland, Devon on 1 September 1868. He served in the Royal Navy from 27 February 1883 until 28 July 1884 and a decade later enrolled into the Royal Naval Reserve on 22 March 1895. During the Great War, Yalland served first with Argonaut from 3 August 1914, and was present when she captured the German merchant ship Graecia, until joining the crew of King Alfred on 14 September 1915 and then to Vivid from 2 December 1916 until his demobilisation on 21 March 1919. He died at Hampshire in January 1942.
