A WW1, Inter War India General Service Medal, Afghanistan N.W.F. 1919, Special Constabulary Medal Group awarded to 67676 Pte F.B.H. Wride, Royal Army Medical Corps.
Francis Blake Heathcote Wride was born during 1892 at Southampton, Hampshire, and is listed in the 1911 Census as an Apprentice Pharmacist, the 1921 Census as a Pharmacist, and the 1939 Census as a Pharmacist and Special Constable.
During WW1, he served in the ranks of the Royal Army Medical Corps (the B.W.M being his sole medal entitlement for WW1) and then Afghanistan’s North West Frontier during 1919/1920. Post War he returned to life as a Pharmacist.
Francis Wride passed away on the 3rd of March, 1955, at Winchester, Hampshire.
