A WW1 Medal Pair (Wounded - G.S.W to the chest) & Special Constabulary Medal Group awarded to 46401 Pte R.H. Clark, 15th Battalion Durham Light Infantry.
Robert Harper Clark was born on 24.09.1899 at Seaham Harbour, Durham. He joined the ranks of the Durham Light Infantry and served with the 15th Battalion on the Western Front.
His pension records show that he suffered a gunshot wound to the chest which was originally listed on War Office Daily List No. 5721, dated 13.11.1918, and he was discharged from the Army on 01.03.1919.
Pre War, Robert worked at Easington Colliery, and the 1939 Census lists him as an Engineering Contracts Manager and Special Constable.
The medals are mounted for display on original ribbons, sold with some copied research and are as follows -
