An Interesting Women's Royal Voluntary Service Medal & British Red Cross Proficiency Medal Pair Awarded to Mrs Beryl .M. Guy.
Mrs Beryl M Guy resided at Woodhall Spa, Linconlshire, and was awarded a Long Service Clasp to her W.R.V.S. Medal on the 7th of July, 1986. This award was confirmed in a letter from Dame Barbara Shenfield D.B.E on this date (original letter included with the research).
Beryl also appears in a local newspaper article (copy included with the research), having been the victim of a theft whilst visiting a Spa.
Both medals are in their original boxes of issue, along with a hand written note about W.R.V.S. activities, presumably written by Beryl. The medals are also sold with the original letter to Beryl confirming her Long Service clasp and some copied newspaper articles - an interesting research project for someone.
The medals are as follows -
Women’s Voluntary Service Medal, unnamed as issued; British Red Cross Proficiency Medal, unnamed as issued
Condition, tiny chip to the red enamel at three o’clock, otherwise nearly extremely fine
